Good evening. I know I could call the installer but I wanted to get confirmation first. I couldn’t find info online to answer my question and the installer could BS me and I wouldn’t even know or not.
Just had the Trane XR17 5 ton, 2-stage system installed last week. The invoice says 16 seer. On the condenser outside, it has the big sticker that says 14 seer. Should that sticker say 16 Seer? Reading online just says “up to 18 seer”.
Is the sticker saying it’s minimum 14 seer and unit is “up to 16”?
Did they install a less efficient unit than I paid?
