I have a Carrier system with the Carrier Cor touchscreen thermostat, about two years old. Never had a problem with the thermostat, but tonight, when I went to adjust a setting, the screen froze. I couldn't get it to move, regardless of which touchscreen buttons I pushed.
Eventually, it reset itself (got the Carrier logo, then the normal screen). But ... it was reading 83 degrees, which is way off. (House was about 75).
I pulled the thermostat off the wall, then reinstalled it ... still reading 83.
After awhile, the temperature reading came back down to the actual temperature. The thermostat and the system has been functioning fine since, as far as I can tell.
I've never had the screen freeze before. Should I put in a service call to possibly have the thermostat replaced?
Here is a picture of the thermostat from Carrier's website: https://www.carrier.com/residential/...ur-thermostat/
Thanks
