Hi - we replaced our old furnace with a new install about a month ago, and from day one the new unit has been short cycling.
The installers have been very responsive and I've no issues with their attitude/communication. 3 different techs have been to the house to try to address the problem, with various parts (e.g. switch, control board) being replaced. I'm not sure of all the things they've tried - but unfortunately the problem remains.
The latest tech has suggested trying a couple of other things, but at this point it's worrying us that a specific issue hasnt been identified, and our concern is that a band-aid solution may be found that doesnt really address the underlying issue (which may then subsequently reappear).
We want to be understanding, but I'm curious to hear if anybody has any thoughts on how this should now go? Should the installer be offering a replacement unit, or is it reasonable for them to continue trying various things to address the problem?
Thx!
