Does Static Pressure matter for furnace/heat side?

Hi all,

So, believe my title asks my question - does static pressure impact the furnace/heat side of things or is it just the cooling side? I only ask because for my new Rheem system installed in June, we had issues with static pressures on the cooling side, and had to have some ductwork/plenum changes to get it down so we could increase blower speed. Well, last night was the first time we had to use the heat, and, good lord, the blower speed is set to the maximum setting it could be for the heat side. The unit would only run for two minutes for cycling off, and then turning back on twenty minutes later (it did satisfy the temperature, at least when I woke up at 2:30am from the noise, but it does not run for longer than two minutes). I've never heard the airflow that loud and felt that much air going through it - so was just curious.

I do have a service call scheduled - and they are getting to me first thing tomorrow - but, curious if this unit is safe to use tonight when it is scheduled to get even colder or should plan to sleep downstairs for heat...

Unit is Rheem R801CA050314MSA.

Thank you.
