Zoning panel and thermostat disagree on whether AUX heating is on

Hi,

Following up on https://hvac-talk.com/vbb/showthread...t-temperatures, my system's AHCI number is 10324713. I've configured my AUX lockout temperature to -5F but I've run into a case where the zoning panel and thermostat disagree on whether the heating strip is on.

The zoning panel (Ultra-Talk 3000) display indicates that AUX heating is off (SYS AUX000 EM000, W2 EMERGENCY led off). The thermostat (Daikin One in dealer mode) shows the heat pump status as "heating" and the blower status as "ELEC HEAT HI" which to me indicates that AUX heating is on.

Page 11 of the zoning panel, "auxiliary demand from each thermostat simply increases the calculated demand from that zone, which may or may not activate Auxiliary heat operations" but I don't think this changes anything in my case since we're reading the status of the blower, not sending an AUX demand.

Any ideas what is going on?
