Recently started renting a hun in Pittsburgh PA area.
I noticed the furnace is only an 80% model, so I figured it was older. Then I realized the manufacturer date was November 2018! It is a goodman. And supposedly these inefficient furnaces were banned in this area of the country several years earlier.
I've caught this HVAC contractor doing sketchy things like venting r22, but I can't imagine how they would get one of these furnaces several years after the ban cuz distributors and dealers wouldn't have them available here. Any ideas? Some kind of exception?
Running the new PVC vent line should have been fairly easy.
