Hello ,
I have a question about whole house dehu Ultra-Aire XT155H. I've installed it more than a year ago. In the summer it's doing great job along with AC obviously (I keep it on 43%RH as a set) keeping humidity at 43%-46%. But last couple of days I've noticed that humidity raised to 50-53%RH with the same setting and not going
down.
The only difference is that no AC or Furnace is working because of the mild weather (70F-75F, 65%RH- 80%RH). I checked the UA XT155H - seems like it's working. Than I decided to measure amount of water removed by it, so I removed P-trap and collected the water for about 6 hrs. It was a very slow water drip, like faulty
faucet....
IT WAS ABOUT 2-3 PINTS MAX
I was shocked a little. I was under impression that it's doing much better job. I know the manufacturer claim - removal of 155 pints in perfect (?) condition.
But in real world, is it even worth to run that machine for so little result? How much water is expected in current weather conditions? Or UA XT155H is broken?
The reason we bought this machine is for this kind of weather when no AC load, nor Furnace...
Thoughts?
