Random thought and due to tight space constraints I have thought about tapping into a perpendicular rigid spiral duct that that supply four registers, The distance to from the air handler to the duct will be limited to about 6 inches.
The duct layout is U shaped where the air handler attached to the apex of the U duct layout. (2) registers on each leg of the U.
18k BTU mini split,
12" diameter at the "subject plenum" reduced to 10 inches before the 1st set of the registers followed by another reduction to 8" diameter to supply the second set of registrs.
Unit is rated for .36 static pressure.
Has anyone done something like this? worried that there just isn't' enough run at the "plenum"
