Controller LED error code?

A technician did my annual boiler service and said my control had an internal error and needs to be replaced. The heat system is running fine but he said it could go at any time.

He said the LED is flashing 6 times on the controller, which means internal error. I took a look at it after he left, and it appears to be doing one LONG flash (about 4 seconds), followed by either 5 or 6 brief flashes (seems to change back and forth between 5 and 6). So now I'm wondering if perhaps this is just normal operation, and there is not really a problem with the control?

I took a pic of the error code chart that is on the boiler. The bottom line ("run mode/flame current") seems to match most closely what I'm seeing... would this just be normal operation when it's running? Any advice would be appreciated before I pay $300 to have this replaced. As I've said I've been using the boiler for weeks with no problem so far.

Thanks to all in advance.Name: PXL_20201029_122814932.jpg Views: 4 Size: 106.6 KB
