Replacement for 20 year old Carrier Unit - Central Texas

Our house in Central Texas is a two story 5500 square foot house with two 5 ton units and on 3.5 ton unit. We built it and put in 38TXA06310/58RAY115-20 puron units and we have replaced coils once but they have been maintenance free. We have aprilairs on two units and an electronic honeywell on the main home unit. The two first floor units work well and uniformly. The upstairs unit, the one to be replaced, cools unevenly across the house with some rooms much colder than others. It is probably due to its location in the attic and the length of the flexible duct runs. All are exposed and accessible in the attic for the second floor.

The upstairs 5 ton unit is losing puron, needs a new pan, and this would cost about 20% of a new unit, so I think it is time to replace. The others are working fine so I think we will only do one unit.

The company who I have used for maintenance pitched 3 options, all 5 ton: (1) Greenspeed 24VNA660A-3 with Coil CNPHP6024, (2) Infinity 5 stage 24VNA960A-3 with Coil CSPHP6012, and (3) Performance 2 stage 24ACB760A-3 with Coil CNPHP6124. The first two get 58TN0A110C21--20 furnace while the third one gets 58TP0A110V21.

Anyone have reactions to the suggested systems. NOTE: I do not like that no analysis was made of the rooms serviced by this unit so I think I need to find another company. There are a dozen Carrier dealers in the city, how would I go about finding the most qualified installer? One of the most respected companies is a Trane dealer and my friends are very satisfied with this one dealer. Is there any disadvantage of using another system?

I converted the Aprilaires to a higher merv with a kit. Should they be replaced or are they normally used in the replacement?

I tried to search for these questions and found some comments on Carrier. Many comments seem to like the basic units over the high end because of installation and tuning issues and reliability. Is there a basic unit I should consider? Any advice is deeply appreciated.
