Good morning.
I have a 8 year old heat pump that has a blower motor replaced in jan 2019. I dont have the specifics with me on the model of hvac or motor but heres my question.
Recently when my ac turns on it feels like it was sucking harder and a lot louder too. We havent made any adjustments or anything. We called out our local ac person (goettl) and he came by and said it seemed Normal. We know it wasnt so he went up and said he changed the speed on the blower motor and it actually sounded like it was back to normal.
My question is can a blower motor change speeds by itself? When I asked the tech this he said yes because of the static pressure on my ac was .5???? No idea what this means.
I have an 1822 sqft home that was built in 1979 with a 4 ton heat pump. Original duct work.
Can I get help from a pro please!!!
