Just had an American Standard...S9V2B060U4PSDA installed. I'm using a 2 stage Honeywell stat. Here's the problem: When the stat calls for heat the furnace cycles on and stays in 1st stage, which is what I would expect. However, when I increase the temp on the stat by only one degree, the furnace starts, but immediately goes to stage 2...even before the blower motor starts. I'm thinking the stat is not programmed correctly. Am I on the right track? Thanks for your help.
