I just got a new Carrier unit installed replacing a Goodman unit that seized up. The bid had the replacement of the lineset called out because the estimator said that when Goodman scroll compressors fail they spray particles up and down the system. Just got the pictures of the new system and they just connected to the existing lineset. They put a filter drier on the liquid line right by the indoor coil. They did install a new indoor coil. The bid said “replace indoor coil and refrigeration lines”. What should I do? Does not getting a new lineset mean the system will fail prematurely, or am I fine?
