So I need to run electrical across the ceiling in my kitchen. There is an A/C Vent smack in the middle of the room that would love to just pop up and out temporarily so I can poke my head in and see the joist locations and make sure there is no other obstruction such as water lines or electrical etc. I’ve removed the grill but the boot itself it pretty secure. I’m guessing this boot is screwed into a joist?
