My home came with the T6 Pro Wifi thermostat by Honeywell.
I added it to my Wi-Fi network and it made me go through system configuration, so I'm worried I could have hurt the settings. haha
For cooling (this is a heat pump), the default was three cycles per hour, so I left it there. I am very warm climate, is three cycles ok? For heating I think the default was seven cycles. I won't use it much in the winter though (if any), so I was less concerned about that.
The funny thing is when I lower the temp 2-3 degrees to try to force it on, that no longer triggers it on immediately? I have to wait for these cycles rather than having it come on instantly?
Thank you for any advice. I am used to an old fashioned mercury thermostat in my prior home.
There may have been a couple other things I changed, it said forced air, and I changed it to heat pump, should I reconfigure? Also it said gas powered, and I changed that to electricity.
