A question regarding Trane systems…
I currently have an S9V2 furnace and looking to get an XV19 heat pump (the only Trane unit that qualifies for a government rebate here).
S9V2 has a variable speed blower which is controlled from my XL824 thermostat via the BK wire. I understand that I will need to upgrade to XL1050 since the XV19 is a communicating unit and I also need to get a relay panel so it can talk to my furnace.
Since the outdoor unit has infinitely variable stage capacity, will my indoor fan be also controlled as an infinitely variable unit via the relay panel or does it simply run the furnace fan at predefined 2 stages set on the control board?
