Hello , we bought a new construction home in Michigan 3300 sq ft with 1900 sq ft walkout basement the builder inform us that a furnace with 88,000 BTU %96 efficiency and 3.5 ton AC unit will be enough to our new house , I am really confused about that , many websites recommend furnace with 120,000 BTU and 5 ton AC unit without considering the basement area , any help will highly appreciate .
