Bought a house with a gas furnace/radiator heat and it has a Bosch / Buderus SSB 160 high efficiency boiler. Appears to be in superb condition, house inspection said the same thing.
In internet searches this boiler line appears to be discontinued in 2020 or so? Cant find any opinions good or bad or why it was discontinued. Bosch appears to use the SSB name for commercial boilers but not residential any more.
Any opinions on this boiler? Things to watch out for or be aware of? Any idea as to why bosch discontinued the SSB line for residential heat?
I find no label or indication as to who installed the heater so does bosch have a local service/dealer lookup ?
Tiny drip from one of the connections to the houses pipes, but the boiler is spotless.
I searched and found some manuals for it, so operation for this winter is not an issue./
Just looking for a pro's thoughts.
