I think we all can agree that when it comes to a new HVAC system, a quality install is the key. For me to ask which brand is the best would be like comparing Ford, Chevy, or Dodge, there is no clear winner, and each manufacturer has their pro and cons. However, some manufacturers' models are known for having certain issues when it comes down to it. Is that the same way in the HVAC world, certain brands are known for certain things? I have quotes from three HVAC companies in my area, all have great reviews, longer than the average 1-year labor warranty, local supply houses for parts availability and I have seen their work firsthand but there is no clear winner between the companies. Listing the manufacturer model numbers that I have been quoted to me, are there any known issues with the said products?
Load calculation has been done and I double-checked it myself using Cool Calc to confirm. Ductwork is metal, checked by each company, in good shape, and sized correctly for my system.
