Blower motor melted. What to do next

Hey eveyone, first post.

I have a york furnace and noticed the ac stopped working this morning. Figured out the ac outside was kicking on but the blower in the furnace wasnt spinning. i tore it all apart and found the ecm module on the back of the motor fried/melted the wire connector on both the male and female ends. I actually replaced this ecm module 5 years back when the original melted in a similar way. However the first time it happened the male connector on the motor was ok so i didnt need to replace. so now that connector is melted and im trying to see if i can cut the wires on the motor and attach a new connector and just replace the ecm module again, or do i need a whole new motor. Also is 5 years normal lifespan for these? Seems odd ive seen it melt twice.

Thanks for any input
