Hello,
We are replacing the A/C on our 2 story house. Currently have 2 units, each at 2 ton. As it is now, the downstairs unit runs about ~40% to 75% less than the upstairs unit, depending on outside temp, etc.
We have had numerous companies come out and estimate new units, almost all have come back and quote to replace both units at 2 ton.
Since most of the load is on the upstairs unit, why doesn't it make sense to potenially upsize the upstairs unit and downsize the downstairs unit?
Thanks,
Sean
