Hi all,
First post here. I have a ramsond 27000 BTU mini split dual zone. I have a wall mount cassette on the first floor and a ducted air handler in the attic providing air to the second floor. The ducted air handler has a wired thermostat and the wall mount cassette uses the remote thermostat. Both thermostats came with the system.
The problem I'm having is when set on auto, cool, or heat, the unit will continue on past the set temperature. I need to turn the zone off to keep the room at an adequate temperature. Currently in auto mode, i have the wired t-stat set at 70* and it will continue cooling until i shut it off at 61* in the room. I have thermometers right next to the t-stat to double check what the t-stat is reading. This was the same situation in heat mode in the winter. I would have to turn it off or it would just keep heating.
Based on what I've seen online, it looks like a lot of mini split systems have air sensors in the return air in the unit and there is a way to change it so the thermostat is what powers the reading. I cannot find anything about the ramsond units.
The photo has the site with the user manuals they gave me with the purchase. I can't insert the link because I'm new here but it's in the photo at the top. The wired T stat is the 2020 inverter mini split, wall mount is multi zone inverter mini split AC, 220v, air handler is slim duct multizone or single zone inverter mini split AC, 220V, and remote for wall mount is first remote listed. See attached photo (highlighted is what I have).
Any help would be appreciated to keep these from running past set points.
Thanks in advance!!Attachment 834718Attachment 834718
