Im replacing an old M847D1004 zone damper whose spring is interfering with the gear drive and not opening the damper when power is removed.
Ive read some online reviews stating that the redesigned M847D is only giving 3-4 years service and is not well constructed.
Do folks on here have any experience with longevity of the new Honeywell design and does anyone have any experience good or bad with the Belimo motor adapter from Retrozone or any other substitute dampers that are good quality.
Ive gotten 12 years out of the old design so want to choose a replacement that will last at least that long.
Thanks,
