Had a tech out for an annual tune-up. AC seemed to be running fine, but I just wanted a once-over. He cleaned the outside unit went to the cellar and told me to switch out my filter from a 3M pleated filter to a green filter that looked like a car could pass through. He checked the temps down there then went back outside and hooked up his gauges. He said I was low on freon and needed to charge me for what he puts in. The final bill for a $**tune-up was $***. As he was wrapping up after I took the wife the bill, I asked how much freon he needed to add, he said two pounds!! I wondered how he knew things were correct, and he started to explain the measurements on his gauges and I snapped this picture. The system seems to be running fine, but I think he added freon just to add and make money Do these measurements look good to you? TIA.
