Hello all,
I am posting for the first time here.
Furnace installed little over 6 months ago had stopped working when outside temp was 19 degrees.
Installer is on vacation and not able to get him rightaway.
When the I had power cycled the unit, I could here very loud water gurgling sound in the inducer blower.
Removed inducer fan and removed water. It was a lot. It must have had vater upto the level of the intake from the heat exchager side.
This got the unit running. However, I want to find the root cause and fix this.
I have a few concerns.
1. Intake condensate tube is connected to flue pipe condensate trap, instead of connecting to drain box. (concerns me that exhaust fumes also goes into intake side ?)
2. Exhaust flue pipe has a coupling which shows pipe cement excess which may cause drip indie the blower instead to the condensate trap.
3. Flue pipe was cut in a slight angle which makes the condensate drain pictch at an upward angle.
I wanted to remove intake condensate remove from where it is an connect to the drain box. But tube is cut too short and not able to re-position.
Appreciate if anyone with knowledge can advise me.
Thank you.
