Downstairs Nest thermostat keeps showing G wire error on a newly built home. When AC kicks in or Fan, it will give error and outside unit will shut off, they replaced the Thermostat and put a new Zone board and problem still exist. So the Home builder used a Fast Stat Hvac wiring extender that has a sender and a Receiver and fixed the issue. My concern as a newly built home, what issues can I run into, concerns down the road with selling the home/inspections? Should I have them re wire the downstairs thermostat and cut through dry wall vs settling with Fast-Stat? I feel this is cutting a corner and using an alternative method but the builder and AC company says issue is fix. Thoughts?
