Hi all,
We have just moved in to a new construction home - the unit has a Carrier 14 SEER 3-Ton zoned AC/Heat Pump. The unit works well as far as heating and cooling, but one thing that has me stumped in the noise the unit makes when in heat mode.
When in heat mode, inside the garage - there is a loud humming noise that comes from the wall where the refrigerant lines are.
Ive attached a video of the noise from inside my garage - its the humming noise. Weve had the installing contractor come out and they verify everything is operating well with the unit - and the noise is not anything to be concerned with.
Given the warranty is with them and the builder, not sure what my options are, so wanted to ask you guys.
Thoughts?
