Hey there,
I'm trying to bypass a Honeywell EIM so that I can have a smart T9 Honeywell thermostat in my house. I have a natural gas furnace, single phase heat pump. The issue I'm running into, after splicing all of my wires together from the furnace, heat pump, and out to the thermostat is that the furnace is just on and running non stop. It seems to be bypassing the thermostat altogether. I am not allowed yet to post a photo of the wiring at the EIM prior to taking it apart or I would show you, but here is how things were connected on the EIM;
EIM I dismantled;
R out to therm
C out to therm
W brown from therm
W2 from furnace & heat pump
Y from furnace & heat pump
G from furnace
RH from furnace
R from heat pump
C from furnace & heat pump
2 S1 sensors
Here's what I have spliced together now;
Common from furnace & heat pump going to Therm
Red from furnace & heat pump going to therm
green from furnace to therm
yellow from furnace & heat pump to therm
red/black S1 sensor from outside going to therm on orange & black
Brown from heat pump going to therm
On the thermostat side I have;
2 sensors S1 orange/black
Yellow
Green
Common
Red
W
W2
Not sure what is going on at this point. Any advice would be great. The thermostat connects perfectly and says everything is working but the thermostat is just bypassed and has no control over the heat.
