Last year a/c outdoor unit went kaput in Aug and with Trane parts shortage just held off replacing outdoor unit and indoor coils, the furnace works just fine but is 19 years old. Anyways I'm getting to call me Trane guy BUT? I've always had Trane equipment and been very happy over the years. However I've been hearing and reading a lot lately about how the quality and reliability of Trane has taken a nosedive over past couple of years.
The general plan is due to financial issues from COVID, is to either replace the outdoor unit and indoor coils now, and worry the furnace later. Or do the furnace nd indoor coils now, and then the outdoor unit later. Just cant afford to do it all right now, since paying cash.
