I'm getting a new s9v2. I have been reading that the br wire can be used to let the thermostat control the fan speed, or the furnace itself can be programmed to ramp up the fan speed.
I want to do what is best. Should I upgrade to a pcm br compatible thermostat? Or stay with my current thermostat (Nest) that can handle 2 stages but not directly control the fan speed?
Is there anything else I should know regarding thermostats?
I believe I can ask for a trane
XL824B thermostat, I'm not sure how if the price is worth it. What additional benefits would the thermostat being able to control the fan speed give me?
