Packaged Heat Pump

We have received few quotes from HVAC contractors for 3 Ton packaged Heat Pump and removal of old ducts and install new ducts (all metal). One contractor quoted for Rudd (RQPM) and the other one quoted for Daikin (DP14HM3641). Please see below details:

• The cost for Daikin packaged unit alone is $1,200 more than Rudd
• Rudd comes with 10-Year and Daikin comes with 12-year parts warranty
• Both contractors give 1-Year Labor warranty
• Optionally the contractor who quoted for Daikin says for $700, Daikin offers 12-Year Extended Labor Warranty when we club with their Annual Service contract @ additional cost per year
• Also we have an Exterminator who will be doing some treatment in the crawlspace and place a Vapor Barrier

Based on the above information, kindly let us know:

• If the 12-Year Extended Labor Warranty from Daikin is worth?
• Packaged Heat Pump performance wise Rudd or Daikin?
• If it is better to install all metal duct, even though the installation cost is high
• After removing the old duct, should we ask the exterminator to put the Vapor Barrier first and then install the duct or install the new duct and then put the Vapor Barrier
