Cased N coil vs Cased A coil

Hi, I am in the process of replacing my coil and condenser because of a bad R22 compressor. I am given two options by my installer for the coil. One is a N-cased coil (3 ton Heil) with a height of 17 inches, and the other is an A-cased coil (3 ton Heil) with height of 29 inches. Price is not very different with duct modification but there is a humidifier that I have to relocate (or give up) if I go with the A cased coil due to extra height. I heard N cased coils have issues such is freezing. Is there any truth to it, or should I go with N cased coil and keep the humidifier? Any input is highly appreciated.
