I recently moved into a brand new house. I've noticed some ticking noises that happen while the furnace is going then after it stops for some time. I think I've isolated the noise to the b-vent specifically where the hot water exhaust merges to it, in that general area up by the basement ceiling. Basement is not yet finished. The b-vent travels up by the bedrooms and the ticking can be heard at night and is very annoying and can keep me up at times. Is there anything that can be done to try and eliminate this? If I call a licensed pro is this something they deal with on a regular basis?
