Hello,
I got a smart thermostat in my house.
After some time HVAC stop heating correctly.
I didn't know that thermostat can be a reason so I called my insurance and they sent HVAC expert.
He told me that smart thermostat is sending wrong signal to central unit (cooling and heating in same time) so he changed thermostat with normal one and all start to work well.
I called company which installed smart thermostat to install it once more but correctly this time.
They installed new smart thermostat but I have similar problem that it is cold in house and on thermostat I can see 2 errors:
- System protected 3 min (minutes differ but I think it starts from 5)
- AC power lost, no wires connected
I find some information on wiring of thermostat and on that information I found out that for heating 25V signal should be sent on W wire while for cooling it should be Y and G wire.
When I check my central unit for heating I got signals W which is good but in same time I got 25V on G wire too.
I know that G is for fan but can that be a problem here?
Does anyone know what else could be a problem?
Just want to have insight in problem from experts.
Kind regards,
Berislav
