Hello,
Im looking to confirm some advice my HVAC tech told me today.
I live in Canada where its between -5c(23f) and -15c(5F) , and I have noticed that my heat pump is running for exactly 15 minutes and then AUX electric furnace comes on to supplement(which is expensive)
He told me that basically all thermostats do this now and i cant get around it. To me, that defeats the purpose of a heatpump. I am using the Sensi Smart Thermostat ST55C.
Does that make sense? Any suggestions on thermostats that dont force this (horrible) feature? I just want to run my heat pump as much as possible.
