I have an oil furnace / AC combination on its last legs feeding ductwork throughout a 2000 sq ft one level house in the Northeast US.
I can't get natural gas, and would like to replace with a heat pump. I see the Mitsubishi H2i recommended, but I'm wondering about the pros/cons of doing split system vs using the h2i condenser with their multi-position air handler and using with existing ductwork. Would I save this way? What do people think of cold weather competitors like the Fujitsu or LGRed?
