Hey everyone...after years of planning I got my Mitsubishi mini split installed and running the other day in my basement.
It's only for heating my basement really, I'm in Michigan and will probably never use it for cooling.
My question is about power consumption
I have the MXZ-4C36NA2-U1 outdoor unit with hyper heat along with a MSZ-FH18NA2 and a MSZ-FH09NA indoor heads.
Using the live power monitoring app from my electric company i can see the instant reading for the power draw.
When I fire both head up to heat and raise it by a few degrees over current temp my electric spikes up about 2500-3000 watts.
I left them both on with about a 65 degree setting for a couple days and it added about 30 kWh to my daily use norm.
Does this seem right to use that much power? I'm sure you'll ask for a million specs on my house but I'm asking in general do these numbers make sense on consumption?
