Is there any secret to keeping the flame sensor for a Lennox G27M4-100A-2 clean for an entire heating season (Chicago)? Specifically, the flame sensor has to be cleaned between 2 and 3 times per heating season. More specifically, because the furnace is in our parent's home, we would consider replacing the furnace (and ac unit) if this would lessen the chances of the furnace going down 2-3 times per heating season. If we go that route, the quality of the installation is our top priority followed by brand, performance, etc. That said, are there any specific furnace models to avoid based on your professional experience?
