Hello,
My house (two story, 2,759 heated sq. ft.) was built almost 11 years ago and we're still using the original Goodman units (2.5 ton 13 SEER Heat Pump for the 2nd floor & 2.0 ton 13 SEER AC and propane furnace for the 1st floor) but we've had many repairs over the years.
I want to be prepared with replacements in mind when these ones reach end of life. I've read many posts here, and elsewhere, concerning the "best" HVAC brands and the consensus seems to be that it's more about the installer than the equipment.
So, I guess the better question is: Which brands require the most training to sell and install their equipment? If I'm able to get highly trained installers then I'll most likely end up with a better HVAC system, right?
I realize there are other factors, such as parts availability, but I think the answers will give me a good place to start for getting quotes. Thanks for your time.
