Recently had an Amana 4 ton avzc18 installed with matching air handler and 20kw heating strips. The thing runs pretty much non-stop to attain/maintain temps when in heat pump mode.
Outside temp 54
Incoming air temp to the plenum 68
Outgoing air from plenum 83
In emergency/coils very poor performance imho as well. These were measured at the latest cold snap we had here in OK.
Incoming air to plenum was 63
Outgoing air from plenum was 97
Temp at closest vent was 85 (13 degree loss)
This thing has me losing my mind and Amana says I should consult my installer for help. Problem with that is how do I know what performance and expectations/experience should be. My biggest gripe is I have 2 older 2 ton symptoms that seem to perform better and not have the large gaps in performance.
I’m at a loss, please help.
