Hello, thank you so much for such a helpful community! I have tried searching on here to no avail for my problem.
The previous thermostat for my electric heat pump/ac went bad so I replaced it a while back with a Google Nest E. I checked that compatibly checker according to old thermostat wiring and it said it would work..after installing I ran through all the modes and it seemed to run them all fine. In the summer AC ran fine and heat "has" been running fine...but then it was not warming very well and I went outside and outside pump coil has a lot of ICE on it and it dawned on me I have not heard it going into defrost "right outside bedroom window". I checked in the attic part and that coil is not froze. When I looked at the thermostat wires coming into the air handler though the way it is wired would not seem to work with Nest maybe?? I am going to attach a pic from the thermostat wires hooked into the handler and maybe someone could point me in the right direction?
