Hi Everyone,
This is my first post....
I have multiple Daikin VRV IV for my residential building in Brooklyn. Each time there is a large winter storm that comes through (snow and wind) I have multiple condensers that go down with error codes.
My HVAC contractor has reached out to Diakin many times and with little help. In the past two years we have replaced multiple A1P boards, two compressors, fan motor board, invertor boards....
A month ago we were finally told that there was an issue on VRV IV with snow infiltration and accumulation, and additional protection of the printed circuit board in the E-Box was needed. Daikin supplied us with a snow gasket kit, but still had multiple unit go down yesterday with the Nor'easter.
Has anyone else had this type of issue and/or have any guidance on what I should be do to protect my units? The condensers are sitting on multiple sets of metal dunnage and I think I am going to need to build a housing around each of them.
