1. should a systems refrigerent be pulled and weighed for correct amount in winter? Subcool system requirement is not attainable at this temp in (heat mode ) to determine correct 410 amount (lbs) . 2. If OD unit is suspected of a leak wouldnt it be mandatory to (pressure test) the isolated OD FIRST , if a minor leak is suspected ? That is to not introduce contaminents from leak hole to system during pull down ? The line and indoor evaporator were isolated pressure tested 1 yr ago and all was well there . System may be low 410 as reading was 4.8 subcool under less than ideal weather load condintions in Oct . but tech did not want to overcharge just incase . 10 + -3 is the maufacturer subcool spec. just asking . Tech has been called. What say you ??
