Trane furnace water leak

The furnace is a Trane XL90 built in 2007, so 13 yrs old. It's a high efficiency furnace and has an outside air intake. There are no problems with operation of the furnace. It runs fine and there are no error lights. But I noticed water pooled inside the section above the blower, where the gas control valve is. The corrosion leads me to believe that this has been an issue for awhile now.

I felt around two drain hoses in the area and did not feel any leaks. One hose is connected to the draft inducer and another to what I think is the secondary heat exchanger? I disconnected the hoses and flushed them with hot water. I also cleaned a white trap box that they drain into before exiting to the condensate pump. All lines drain cleanly and all hose connections are leak-free. Condensate pump operates without problems. After flushing all lines, I checked the next day and water was still leaking.

I removed the draft inducer and noticed corrosion on the fasteners behind it. That black plastic part is what connects the draft inducer fan to the heat exchanger box? and I noticed small pieces of plastic inside and that the right side of it is cracked. I found the part online (Trane part# RCT00851). Seeking advice before I replace this part... could that be the cause of the water leak? Or is it likely something else more serious inside the heat exchanger? I don't want to bother replacing it if it won't make a difference and something else is the source. Especially since there are no gaskets and I have to use high-temp RTV in order to replace the part and reinstall the draft inducer.
