Is this return plenum support okay?

Hi all,

Newbie here, so not sure I can post pics...? Will try and describe the situation, and maybe some links to the 4 pics on my website.

The new unit (heat pump) is under my house in the hill country of Austin TX. The house is cut into a hill, so there's a 3' high crawl space under the house, most of the crawl space is bare earth. The old unit (26 years old!) was quite dirty, so they reconstructed both plenums and lots of the ductwork.

The plenums and ducts are held to the framing with straps. But, the return air plenum is *also* supported with 3-4 Styrofoam blocks ... which are simply sitting on the bare earth.

With Covid, the city inspectors will *not* come to the house, so I'm looking for reassurance the plenum supports are "okay" the way they are, or should there be changes?

I plan on keeping the house another 20-30 years, but am worried potential buyers may also be concerned about the installation/supports.

Can y'all make some recommendations/reassurances/etc etc?
Thanks,
Dan
