Heat Pump/Air Handler install issues/questions

I recently had a new system put in. The salesman said a triple vac/nitrogen while welding were important considerations when choosing an installer. I chose his company. I'm hoping some industry expert can help me. I have three issues.

*Nitrogen was not used while welding the heat pump. I don't believe it was used on the handler either.
*The copper tubing makes removing the access panel near impossible without bending it.
*The transition leaks, but not too greatly

I spoke to the owner, and he said an installer could come out next week, but I want to make sure that everything is corrected properly. My questions are.

*How is nitrogen used when doing the exterior heat pump? In my case the old handler was already removed, and I don't know how it would have been connected but the tank wasn't even out of the truck at this point
*How best to redress the fact that nitrogen wasn't used. (Re-vacuuming the pipes?)
*How would it be best to correct the piping inside?
*Anything else I should ask/double check or watch for during redress

I couldn't post a picture here but there is one on reddit (hvacadvice) under the same user name.
