Heat Pump problems and gas furnace question, please help

Hi there, new to the forum and looking for some guidance here, because I have technicians telling me different things.

All electric house with 3 Heat Pump units:
20 YO Trane condenser (4 ton) and 7 YO Goodman handler unit has been having problems with providing adequate heat. Warranty call technician said everything is fine and I just need to get rid of my Nest therm and run it in emergency mode all the time. Second (non-warranty) tech said that we should get rid of the 2 stage (was running 1 strip and emergency would call all 3) and wired all three strips to come on with alt heat (not sure if I like that idea, essentially emergency mode all the time). He also told me that my compressor was going out and we should look to replace (overload when it kicks on and already has/had a hard start kit). I have a warranty call in to verify that and see if they are wiling to replace at all.

Gas Option: Property does not currently have gas, but the utility co will run it to my house. Is it cost effective to have a plumber plumb my house to accept gas and begin phasing out the electric appliances. The two other Heat Pump systems are operating as I believe they should.

A LOT to ask and all over the place, but that's what I'm dealing with and really need the help.

DJ
