Frigidaire Deep Freezer Died

Hi all! I am new to this forum and hope this is the right place to ask.

I'm a homeowner in SoCal and keep a Frigidaire Deep Freezer in the garage - we got it about 5 years ago. Unfortunately, we had a power blip recently and now the compressor won't start. It was NOT attached to a surge protector (lesson learned).

I'm a little tech savvy but have never played with HVAC. Last year, the capacitor on my outside AC unit died (as did the cap on my pool pump). I don't have a capacitance tester but took a chance (since the parts are cheap) and they both solved my issues. Quick and easy fixes, right? However, I attempted the same fix on this freezer (capacitor) but it didn't help. When I give it power, it just clicks and hums and then shuts off. I can't tell if the relay is dead or not (although the connector's shield looks fried? the connector looks OK). I tried a continuity test on it and it tests fine.

I'm at your mercy. If the compressor is frozen, is it even worth fixing? Thank you all in advance for your advice.

PS - I'm trying to attach pics and a video but I am too new to this forum.

-Brian
