I live in FL. A couple of weeks ago, the following equipment was installed in my home to replace a 15 yr old system.
Tempstar Air Handler - FVM4X6000BL
Tempstar Condenser - NXH648GKA (Single Stage Heat Pump)
Initially there were some wiring issues from the T-stat to the Fan control board, which the installer corrected. The system seems to be functioning, but I could use a little assistance on the following:
Q1 - When the installer had the upper cover off, I noticed that the yellow wire from the "Y" terminal on the T-stat goes to the Y1 terminal on the Air Handler. The Fan Coil installation instructions specifically states, "For single stage systems, do not use the Y1 terminal."
So my first question = Even though the system appears to be functioning correctly, is there a down side to using the Y1 terminal on the unit rather than the Y? Should I ask the installer to correct that?
Q2 - The Fan Contriol Board offers a selection of three "System Types". They are --> AC, HP-Comfort or HP-Eff. The installer selected --> HP-Comfort.
The 2nd question = Does anyone know what the differences are between HP-Comfort vs HP-Eff?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
