My air handler is set to run at a nice, quiet, perfectly-condo heating 290 CFM.
Last winter it was perfect -- sooooo quiet.
This winter, whenever it wants to, it pushes air harder than I want it to, upwards of 450 CFM, which is annoyingly loud.
I do not want it to do this.
How can I stop it?
And please note in the context of this question that I care about noise first, being comfortable second, and I don't care at all about efficiency or my monthly electric bill or my equipment being used to its fullest capability.
Frankly, I liked my former 20+ year old unit better as it kept me warm / cool as needed, didn't do whatever it wanted whenever it wanted, and was quiet.
Random things entering my mind include having my HVAC Tech wire my two ton unit so it behaves like a one ton unit; having my HVAC Tech wire my air handler blower to not blow as hard since apparently the software doesn't care what I want; having my HVAC Tech turn my entire system into a fixed speed system so at least it is predictable; wondering if the outside sensor is contributing to this misbehavior and maybe that needs to be disconnected etc.
Thank you.
My equipment for a 915 square foot condo:

Aprilaire - Air Filtration / AA2310 Upflow / Media Air Cleaner
